To the person that was crying because someone else posted about a person losing their job...it's a friggin' radio information/news board! Besides, maybe the point was to post it and tell everyone so maybe other stations will know he is available and contact him and hire him. I can't see how it can be a bad thing because if he is really talented its good to get his name out. No one cares that Forever fired him because everyone knows they are cheapasses and complete idiots that only keep and promote the dumbest of the bunch. When I was cut loose from BHV in the 90's and it was in the trades and such, I got 3 calls from old friends with job offers within a week. (But I did not want to move from the area so I kindly declined).

This was the original post. And if you read the original topic name, I highly doubt the poster's intentions were to announce the information all for the good of helping Danny.
This was a post made to take a another shot at Forever Broadcasting without knowing any of the facts. The poster even states he doesn't have all the facts by stating "I heard" twice in the post and "but I'm not certain." And of course the concern for Danny is so evident in the statement, "for sure Danny Wright was axed." Yeah, that's real concern there.
And maybe Danny DOES want people to know he's available. Did the poster ever bother to ask Danny if he wanted his bad news plastered all over here? Maybe the guy needs to get over the shock first.
Danny IS a good and talented person. He worked for The Bus forever (no pun intended). It's certainly no help to him to announce it in the manner stated above. It's just another way to take pot shots at Forever Broadcasting.

People ran into me and gave me every possible reason for my exit except for the truth.

How much dribble did I read on this board about how the Simpsons are monsters and they get rich at the expense of their staff. Do you know the Simpsons? Do you know how they treat people? I think Ted and Cary are the salt of the earth truthfully. They treat their people LIKE PEOPLE!!! I did not see anyone yelling that things should not be said about them when it was hapenning.....but take a shot at Forever and HAIL CEASAR...we should be stoned!!!

No one seemed to feel that this was wrong for Kevin and his family. Everyone felt for the guy and we were all rooting him on! Thats what radio people are supposed to do when one of our own is down...we rally together for them!

I remember when you were let go. My question to you is, did you find out the stories as to the reason you were let go from everyone else or the owners themselves? Because I'll guarantee you this, when you were let go, you were not a thought beyond that to them. And speaking generally, people are not thinking about you as much as you think they are. In the business world, radio or any other, once they let you go, they move on. I highly doubt they were spending any extra time "weaving" anything. It's a simple fact, once you're gone, you become an after thought and they move on with business.

I wasn't around for the Simpson thing but if someone put something nasty up here about Ted and Cary, I'd have blasted them just like now. It happens I know them both. I think they are two businessmen with the same human frailties as any other. They just play the business nicer than most.

Maybe it ain't personal to you but did you ask Danny that same question? His job was not part of a relationship? It was part of a BUSINESS relationship. One that has been severed by his employer. And I think disclosing his loss of a job on a public board is talking about him directly as a person.

I've known Kevin Nelson for at least 20 years. Served on a few non-profit organization boards with him. Kevin is a great man just like Danny is a great man. And I know Theresa Nelson as well. What people don't know is that it was SHE that brought in the media. She is allowed to do that, she had a right to do it. What most people don't realize about Theresa is that she's a one person publicity wheel if and when she wants to be. Most of the time, she sits quiet until she's provoked. It was she that disclosed the reasons for Kevin's firing. The media worked with her on the movements of that story, they didn't start it and it didn't start by someone from the outside posting it on a board.
