Yes, Hitz 94 is NOT changing anything! Perhaps Hitz is going to run an Oldies show on the weekends. Which could explain why the receiver was delivered in Lexington. Or maybe WLXN is going to run some Oldies on the weekends! Who knows! But I do know that Hitz is NOT changing.

You seem so certain. I'm glad for the employees at Hitz. Maybe they will get to keep their jobs after all.
 
I feel pretty certain about this. I have some friends that work there that are REALLY high up. And no, it's not Bob the PD/morning man. Geez, if he was my source, I might as well blow smoke up all your you know whats!

My question still hasn't been answered. Like I said, Curtis is busy with their childrens hospital fundraiser next thursday; and, it would make perfect since for ZTK to flip Monday morning after the smooth jazz weekend, not on tuesday after the week already starts.
 
Holy S---!!! This market is cooking! Everyone jockying for position. Good for 101.1! Smart move. Will be interesting to see what they do with WMFR.
 
Theres one thing that is certain. Some people on this thread are totally wrong, but its fun to watch. Speaking personally I hope 101.1 does not change. I love the drive time shows and the overall approach and a lot of my male 40-50 something friends feel the same. I don't need to hear any more 40 year old songs on the radio.
 
Should ZTK in fact flip, will they still air the Panthers games? For some reason, ZTK comes in much clearer where I am than 850 The Buzz (the "other" area Panthers affiliate) does.
 
Of course they will keep the Panthers! They probably have a five year contract (now in the second year). It is unlikely they could get out of it without convincing another FM to pick it up. Don't see that happening!

Everything else sounded normal today. Both the morning and afternoon team briefly discussed what was coming up next week, with Alan around 6:50 promising to have some person on his afternoon show before Christmas and whatnot.

I still keep to the feeling that ZTK isn't going anywhere; I even heard Brad or someone else this morning talking about how they'd be at the children's hospital next thursday

OK - The folks at Hits94 are bluffing! I hear they're deliberately planting hints about Hispanic, when in fact they ARE going Oldies! They DO have a new receiver and they have been talking to someone who has an Oldies show. It's going to happen soon. Like maybe next week. I'm really thinking something is up with Hitz 94 and Curtis. I think they're doing it together. AND, ManWhore, if they haven't told you about it, you better pack that U-Haul! You heard it here first! This one is 99% confirmed!

It DOES seem like a helluva tool...but none of the stations I work with rotate music titles.

We talkies are more into Feedburner...
 
I don't know about any of y'all, but i'm starting to really like being in between the Triad and Triangle markets. nearly everything seems to be up in the air (except for the few things that are set in stone). First WFMX, then 93.1 and 106.1 and now all this talk about Hitz and 101.1...even 93.9 could have some changes coming up (God, I hope ;) )..it's all insane! How could such action take place so soon and all at once? Right now, I don't think there is any other market in the south with THIS much action. :eek:
People guessing (placing bets) talking and predicting what will happen...I don't know how much more ecxiting this could get! :D

Can't wait for another week (or less) !
Hang on folks, this ride is about to get bumpy and take some serious turns, dips and changes!!! Get ready!
