Forgotten, Not Gone

There actually was a rumor that when Green Acres ended that the cast and crew had a barbecue with Arnold as the guest of honor, if you know what I mean. :D That was debunked on TV Land's Myths and Legends though. ::)

That wasn't Arnold they ate. It was Ebb the ranchhand...because he was light and fluffy. ;D

To get back to the original intent of the post......who don't we hear much from anymore following their time in the sun:

-Shelley Hack (1 season on Charlie's Angels; Revlon girl)
-Jill Whelan (Vicki on The Love Boat)
-Fred Grandy (Gopher on The Love Boat; congressman)
-Tom Bosley (Happy Days; Murder She Wrote; Father Dowling Mysteries)
-Kristy McNichol

Cheryl Miller from Daktari.
Maren Jensen, Laurette Spang, and Anne Lockhart from Battlestar Galactica (1979 series)
The cast of 3rd Watch
Rhona Mitra - (Tara Wilson) The Practice and Boston Legal
Dennis Franz (NYPD Blue)

In reply to a few inquiries;

Anson Williams ( Happy Days) is a director
LeVar Burton went from Roots and Star Trek, the Next Generation to become a director.
Denise Crosby still acts
Lynda Carter still acts, but is married to a rich lawyer and has two children.
I've seen Ken Howard in numerous roles on TV.
Edward Herrman, who played FDR in the TV mini-series is still acting and does narrations for many documentaries.
Annette Funicello has MS and retired from acting years ago.
Guy Williams ( who played Zorro and in Lost in Space) died in Argentina years ago.
Tom Bosley is around but because of advancing years doesn't act that much anymore.

Don't quote me but I read that Jensen, who was a model before getting the role of Athena on the 1979 version of Battlestar Galactica had some substance abuse problems. Anyone who watched that series might have noticed that at the start she had a more substantial role. After the arrival of Anne Lockhart, Jensen was hardly featured.
As for Lockhart, she married the son of character actor Dub Taylor. Unfortunately Lockhart's husband died leaving her a widow with children. The last I heard Lockhart attends Galactica reunions, but has done little acting.
I believe that Dennis Franz is semi-retired. After all he made a fortune playing Sipowitz on NYPD Blue and doesn't need to work anymore.
I've seen some of the actors who were on 3rd Watch in different roles. Molly Price was on "The Bionic Woman"; the latest version, which lasted what four episodes before NBC canceled it? What would have made a great spin-off of 3rd Watch is a series featuring Bosco and Cruz. However Cruz was killed in the final episode.
As for Laurette Spang and Rhona Mitra, I have no idea what happened to them.
I thought Mitra would have lasted longer on Boston Public, but that series seems to change cast faster than a newborn changes diapers.

Fred Grandy currently does mornings on Washington DC's WMAL-am 630

Kristy McNichol's name pops up every once in a while in those supermarket tabolids like the Globe and the National Enquier mainly because they have been trying to out her as a lesbian for years. I don't remember if she actually ever came out or not though though she did get out the biz several years ago because she had lost the interest and wanted to have an "average life".

Kristy suffered from depression or some sort of issue which is why she left the cast of Empty Nest halfway through it's run.

Speaking of "The Love Boat," wasn't Fred
Grandy a Congressman from Iowa for a time?
I also haven't seen Lauren Tewes (cruise director
Julie McCoy) or Ted Lange (bartender Isaac Washington)
in a long time, although I've heard she's living in Seattle.

I sometimes watch reruns of "Big Valley" on the
Starz Westerns channel, and I keep wondering whatever
happened to Peter Breck, who played hot-tempered brother
Nick Barkley.

According to imdb.com, Peter Breck is alive and well in Vancouver, BC, with his wife of 48 years, appears occasionally at nostalgia conventions, and writes a column on westerns for Wildest Westerns magazine. Hard to believe that he'll turn 80 next year.

I went on Wikipedia and read where Jensen had some medical problem, not drugs, which forced her to retire from acting full-time.

As for Lockhart, she married the grandson of Dub Taylor, not the son. Lockhart is currently doing voice-over work.

As for Cheryl Miller, I can't locate, on Wikipedia, what she is doing now. Perhaps, at at 65, she's retired.

A number of actors who appeared on TV shows seem to disappear after a while; many of them young women who can't find work because of their age, or get married and decide to stay at home and raise their children.

-Jill Whelan (Vicki on The Love Boat)

Last I heard about Jill Whelan, until recently she was doing some radio work for Philadelphia's WPHT. Not sure that she's still with them however, her name and photo are no longer on their website.

Hmmm. Not that it really mattered, I didnt need to know, but since you went that far, I went slightly further. Wikipedia , for the record, says she hosts a gossip type show on WPHT in Philly from 3pm to 4pm on Sundays. Her MySpace page says the same thing: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=179379101

And there's this from the link on Wiki: http://thebigtalker1210.com/pages/22947.php

Looking at WPHT's on-air schedule for this coming week, they air Phillies baseball next Sunday afternoon Aug 3rd which would pre-empt Jill's show.

Judging by her pics on those links, she looks good and has done some impressive behind the scenes production work as an event producer at Madison Square Garden. She is on her second marriage. Two kids from Marriage #1 and 1 child with Husband #2.

Capt Stubing did a good job. :D
