Now that is an interesting change of things. Maybe just maybe they will get back to allowing the station to daypart once again as well and breaking new music first as well. Then they will be back to their old selves along with the dance remixes of certain songs.
Yes, thats one thing Im very disappointed with in WPGC. They have made great changes, but while focusing so much their new music format, they have neglected their playlist in the process. Unfortunately now, WKYS is ALWAYS ahead of WPGC when it comes to new music, and WPGC has very old songs spinning on a regular basis.
IMO, their is no reason to have the recurrent "I Invented Sex - Trey Songz", which peaked way back in late 2009 on the charts, still spinning 20 times a week ahead of "Racks - YC" which is Top 10 on the Urban/Rhythmic charts and is only spinning 8 times a week on WPGC, yet its almost playing 30 times a week over at neighboring WKYS.
In the process of WPGC becoming a hybrid, their playlist has turned a bit old and stale :'(. WPGC can add some new music without straying away from their format.
"T-Pain - Booty Work"
"Lupe Fiasco - Out Of My Head f/Trey Songz"
"Jennifer Lopez - Im Into You f/Lil Wayne"
"Frank Ocean - Novacane"
"Trey Songz - Unusual f/Drake"
"Adele - Rolling In The Deep"
"Nicole Scherzinger - Right There f/50 Cent"
These are all new songs that WPGC can be on FIRST, but instead, WPGC seems to always walk on eggshells with new music and seems to look over to WKYS as if it's waiting for approval.
