Format Change Coming To Dallas

We are talking a "DFW" station, right? Not one in Sherman?

KLAK?

Also, 94.5 would be the wrong signal for urban talk.

Don't even include 94.5 in this. They just got Spinderella.

it's not a Sherman station.
I've received more news, and it looks like the deal has gone sour.
The Network to Be Was Fox News Radio on an FM station in Collin County.

I'll guess that it would have been 92.1, KXEZ. It's not like there are many FM stations in Collin County...

I've just received news as well...that this thread you created is bull! I work at a Fox News station, or about to be one, affiliation deals don't just go away a few days before it supposed to! There are contracts always signed and agreed upon 90 DAYS before stuff like this happens. Again, they just don't dissolve after that!

The Contract had not been signed by both parties yet. Issues arose due to the lack of a sufficient dish. It was not KXEZ 92.1. it was My station. Fox News Radio and I had the green light to go. Contract was all ready, and signed by me. Just so happens the Dish I have cannot work with the system. Plan was to go near full time Fox News Talk.
Sucks, I was so close.

Could have been comparable to Fox Sports 1650 in Flagstaff ;)

Just my 2 cents: it's threads like this that give you bad credibility on this board. Your part 15 station is not something 99.78235% of people care about on this board. Don't make me drive up there to make sure you're under 30uv/meter @ 3 meters from your antenna.

yea I know. I feel like a total ass now.
Had it actually worked out, it would have been cool.

Well everyone nothing to see here back to your regularly scheduled programming. false alarm.
and now back for my slow decent back into insanity ;D
anyway wasn't there some other dude who said some other station was flipping before Oct 1st? Then again he only has 1 post.

But at least what I reported wasn't completely untrue.
It WAS supposed to happen. and It almost did too. if it wasn't for those meddling C band waves.

Embarrassing.

Pro tip: Next time don't pre-announce until your papers are signed and skip the astroturfing.

Well LibertyNT should be happy this thread is actually in the rotating headlines. :p

Don't make her stop this car, either!!!

I clicked on Liberty's website yesterday 'the Crow', saw the pics of his studio in a home closet with the Radio Shack mixer (literally). At that point, I realized, that it was his station he was barking about. There are liberty's all over this great country of ours, you've seen one, seen em all.

Liberty, where you seriously flawwed your posts was when you even brought up the word 'major market' and once the speculation went around 100kW Cedar Hill towers, you should have shut it down right then.

Be glad the Fox thing fell through, little niche signals like yours need niche programming to be worthy in my humble opinion. And yes, I can imagine that the rooftop direct TV dish that you still have after not paying your direct TV bill, is not going to work to pick up Fox. Now if you have an old 8 foot sat dish from 1983 still mounted in your backyard (which you do) you can point that baby at AMC 8 (use your old C band receiver, plug in the radio shack TV they bonused you with the realistic mixer, and turn up the volume) If it doesn't work, you will need a new LMB (not Radio Shack!) call Fox engineering, get the model of LMB you need ($1,500) and try again. 6-8-10 foot old school dishes (mesh or fiber) will work, I've done it dozens of times for the Liberty24's all over the country.

Best of luck, and next time you want to do a press release, ASK someone on this board for assistance before the gun goes off into your big toe.

I checked out the studio pics...The "On-Air" light hanging in pic 1 - I bought a similar light off of Ebay a few months ago...Except mine wasn't radio related:

http://cgi.ebay.com/236-b-Dallas-Co...940?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230a206a84

I've always wanted to turn a spare bedroom into a studio, too...I just imagined larger equipment, a roomier feel.

Just caught wind that a certain FM station in the DFW area is switching formats to Talk.
However, I haven't been told what station or Frequency. And have been instructed not to tell who owns it either.

I just stumbled on this forum when googling IBOC.

Anyway, I was listening to the Ticket on Friday morning, maybe Thursday morning, and the Musers were talking about station frequencies. Out of nowhere, Gordo mentioned that they might have a big announcement about frequencies soon.

I just thought I'd throw that in. I don't know what it means, but it sounds like the little ticket is involved somehow.

Its just the power increase to 25,000 watts on their daytime pattern.
