FORMAT CHANGE IN CC-MIAMI BUILDING?

Wow, CC actually put English language programming on the HD channel of an English language station.

I guess they are after the non-ethnic non-Hispanic white minority group.

Better than when 94.9 was Reggaeton and 94.9 HD-2 was Adult Standards, at the beginning of the HD-2 craze. Boy do I miss "Route 66, The Road To Good Music". But then again, I'm probably the only one that ever noticed.

WMGE-HD2 has flipped from WIOD to a Spanish language pop format.
WLVE-HD2 has remained English language, flipping from classical to WIOD.
BTW...WGCU/WMKO on the Gulf coast has flipped their analogue and HD-1 channels from predominantly classical to mostly news/talk and the Classical-24 format will be on their HD-2 channels.

To late for me to edit my previous post.
Moving a sort of, somewhat, fairly, semi-popular format from AM or analogue FM to HD-2/3 could be looked upon as a way to increase long term listener support for Hunky Dorey radio. I have no idea if moving WCBS-FM's legacy oldies format to HD-2 has had any effect on HD radio sales in Thee Apple.
Remember, one can squeeze maybe four news/talk/sports/traffic&weather channels into the bandwidth of a single music channel, and this is just during the transitional hybrid phase.
Meanwhile, I am missing WLVE-HD2's classical stream which had better audio than WKCP, WXEL, or any of the satellite channels I enjoy.

I've mentioned this before, but WIOD is supposed to lose its' very good AM TX site soon to developers.

Probably looks amateurish for me to post thrice in succession, but please bear with me, I haven't posted anything for quite a few weeks or months.

I drove across the JFK and noticed that one or both of the wonderful isle of dreck towers have been replaced.
Now, to where can we relocate them?
610 is way too close to 560.
Is there an EPA issue with putting them in Biscayne Bay?

Would somebody explain why CC would tinker with Love which draws good ratings and not drop the Mega format which has tiny numbers? Mega is a failed experiment that did not work.

In 25-54, Love 94 is 12th and Mega is 14th. In 18-34, Mega is 9th while Love 94 is 25th.

Its more than JUST ratings nowadays...think money money money.

Simulcast the WIOD-AM signal on FM93.9 and cut that entire staff on WLVE. Sales commissions - GONE! Traffic Director - GONE! Sales Manager(s) - GONE! Production/Promotions/Programming - GONE!

It's slowly happening...remember COX did it in Jacksonville with their AM powerhouse now simulcasting on a good FM stick.

Plus once Obama steals the election, conservative radio is only going to take off even bigger...well at least until the commies re-instate the Fairness Doctrine (and thats a WHOLE NOTHER conversation completely).

Cant you hear it now...

"Now we're digital at 93.9 FM WLVE Miami Beach, Newsradio 610 WIOD Miami-Fort Lauderdale..." They already got this ID running...just drop out the "HD2" mention!

What are the chances that Love 94 has a new format post christmas music break?
