KXKL/Denver Parts Ways With The "Kool Morning Krew"
CBS RADIO Oldies KXKL (KOOL 105)/DENVER parts ways with the "KOOL MORNING KREW," meaning JJ McKAY, RICK 'COACH' MARSHALL, News Dir. STEVE ALEXANDER and Prod. NICK TOENJES have all been released.
What's next for mornings on KOOL? Well, all we know is that sister Hot AC WWMX (MIX 106-5)/BALTIMORE "KENNY AND JO JO" morning co-host KENNY CAMPBELL will be part of it. VP/Programming KEITH ABRAMS is in search of the rest of the show. There are two on-air opportunities; one for a "host/quarterback" role in the show and the other for a co-host/traffic reporter position. The morning show producer gig is also up for grabs.
"Nephew" Kenny Campbell as he was known on WLTF with Trapper Jack was my instructor at the Connecticut School (now OCB). Great talent and a nice guy.<P ID="signature">______________
