Fox 25th anniversary - thoughts on the reunion show

No mention of Power Rangers or any other Fox kids shows

Yeah, I noticed that too. Oh well, I guess they had to make time for the reality tv and American Idol segments much to my dismay. Sure, COPS and American's Most Wanted deserved to be mention, but the other 'relationships' reality trash I could have done without.

That '70s Show reunion made me wonder why they bother at all if they couldn't get the entire core cast. I guess it was okay for what it was.

I was surprise seeing Sliders on the special considering that show's history of cancellation and eventual move to the Sci-Fi channel.

John Walsh had his quarterly 2 hour special the night before...maybe they figured that was good enough. ???

But, really, could they not have made time for a few moments with John Walsh? The show lasted 23 years on Fox and survived a previous cancellation back in '96. Speaking of AMW, Sat nights AMW was the last of the 4 shows that Fox was going to be showing following AMW's move to Lifetime. I didn't watch it but you have to wonder if it will ever be shown on Fox again. AMW's Wikipedia page says Lifetime recently ordered another 20 episodes so good for Walsh and AMW.

No mention of Fox News other than on The Simpsons, did they not have time for any Fair & Balanced clips?

I guess since it wasn't that cable channel's 25th anniversary yet, and there was only 2 hours available, they saw no reason for any clips of imbalance at the time.

But the liberal Fox network gave way for the Fair & Balanced Fox News Channel

Fox was celebrating it's 25th anniversary. Why would they mention any of its cable networks?

and just for a comparison NBC made no mention of any of its cable channels back in 02, when they had a anniversary special.

It would be doubtful that FOX OTA would show footage of FOX News, FX, Fox Sports, etc. on their anniversary special, but I guess some people might expect that, just so they can justify some disappointment.

guess it was only about Fox Primetime and Sports, not the rest of Rupert's empire

I liked it. Brought back many old memories. I think it was separated well into segments like Sci-Fi, Sports, Dramas, etc. Like Seacrest said, hard to jam 140K+ hours into 2 hours. Would've liked to seen more of the older comedies like Parker Lewis and Herman's Head.

Too bad they didn't show clips of Titus, Undeclared, Action, That ’80s Show, Wonderfalls, Fastlane, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Skin, Girls Club, Cracking Up, The Pitts, Firefly, Get Real, Freakylinks, Wanda at Large, Costello, The Lone Gunmen, A Minute With Stan Hooper, Normal Ohio, Pasadena, Harsh Realm, Keen Eddie, The $treet, American Embassy, Cedric the Entertainer, The Tick, Louie or Greg the Bunnny or Kitchen Confidential, The Wedding Bells, Happy Hour, The War at Home, Drive, The Winner, Life on a Stick, The Loop, Head Cases, Standoff, Vanished, Free Ride, Method and Red, Tru Calling, Quintuplets, Stacked, Justice, North Shore, Back to You ;D

Classic. http://video.adultswim.com/family-guy/weve-been-cancelled.html

Somebody recently learned "cut and paste." The three "N"s in "Greg the Bunnny" gave it away.

Airing the pilot of Married...With Children from April 5, 1987 was a nice touch.
I'm sure I had seen it, but it was worth seeing again.

There were things I liked about the special. Cast reunions and interviews were enjoyable.

I couldn't believe they showed Dale Earnhardt getting killed. That was a landmark moment, though. It had been years but I still can't figure out how it happened. Nothing I saw even rewinding it repeatedly indicated it was a crash he couldn't survive.

There were a lot of shows I never watched but after those clips I would like to now.

I didn't know Red from "That 70s Show" was on "24"! And he was good, too.
