FOX DOWN 16.6% THIS SEASON !!!

Why KTU??? This is only about the 10th post of mine you've had some NEGATATIVE comment about.

Go ahead, you post something and let me nit pick it to death. Let me turn it upside down and search for that tid-bit "I think you left out" or that I can flip, or twist around. EVERYTHING ON HERE IS AN OPINION, what are you talking about? Get a life.

Actually, there are some pretty factual things on here.

All I can say is there is a big difference between posting a comment on a post and POSTING A COMMENT ON A POSTER........as your first post on here was!

I just looked at the title of this post and I knew who started. #1 AI hasnt aired a single episode yet and #2 Glee was a new hit for them last year which raised their numbers a bit. Are you off to find another "doom and gloom" story now?

This site needs a like button for that. :D

I'm glad you're using that degree in broadcasting to get a little research on me.

Might FOX not want to cover MLB when this current deal expires? I don't think it would go to cable. But I am sure TBS would still want to cover playoffs and Sunday games.

Oh really? Than how can you explain the complaints on America Most Wanted's Facebook Page whenever it's pre-empted for NASCAR or MLB? Also AMW is a public service. They tried canceling before and there was outrage.

On the bright side, that's one less night of the week that has to be programmed. I can see the conversation at renewal time now:

Fox: You folks in for another year?
Cops: Yup.
AMW: Yup.
Fox: Okay, just checking. Talk to you next year.

Hey, that's my OPINION and I'm entitled to it, just as you are yours...........and believe me I'm not the only one who feels that way.

The thing is, your post implies that it's a FACT that Saturday and Sunday nights are 'NOT WORKING TOO GOOD' and your opinion is not backed up by any facts. It's merely how you "feel" about the subject. Now, if you said that you didn't like FOX's programming on those nights, that might have been received differently. But to say that those nights are "NOT WORKING TOO GOOD' is to be wrong. They work just fine for FOX, thank you very much.

Did you see how the last new ep of Family Guy did in the 18-34 demo? Top 10 for the week (#5, I believe). That is what brings in the bucks and that's what matters to the programmers.

Bud Selig... He's also trying to keep the World Series OUT of November, yet others in the MLB front office want more playoff teams/round, go figure.

What, and give up those peachy November sweeps advertising rates? What bud is Bud smoking?

I dont know, but what ever it is I like it. I'm sure his replacement will think other wise though.

While we're at it...........INHOMERJAY is another who continues to post NEGATIVE comments of not only my posts but others as well. Let's see you put up a thread and let people DISSECT it homer!!!!! All you guys complaining about POSTS, where's yours? I don't see you putting anything on the board but HATE!!!!

Once again, it's one thing to post on a topic and another TO POST ON A POSTER. What is this 3rd grade????? Get real.

Now let's all twist, turn, analyze, call names, call Fox, make things up, become the POSTER POLICE, whatever you want to do.

This one is DONE for me.........have fun with it. THE END

Wait, all WE do is post negative things? And all WE call names? Well in that case I'm fine saying this. I finally figured out who you are, YOU'RE FOX NEWS!. Since you're "done" you wont even see this comment, but atleast I know we have our very own Fox News.

NOT WORKING TOO GOOD: old tired cop shows on Sat., old cartoons on Sun.

Only true in the mind of Gregg. FOX and it's advertisers would be surprised when you break this news to them. Especially about Sunday, where they are very strong - especially in 18-34.

They probably need to ditch the prime time baseball playoffs. Yeah, I know, lots of people watch. But they aren't the same viewers who tune in to FOX the rest of the time. And, the ill-placed September/October playoffs totally put a halt to fresh episodes of the new PT season. Basically, FOX suspends viewer habits for a month just as viewers start to develop their viewing habits.

Calculate that in with the huge chunk of change that FOX paid MLB for this 'privilege' and it can't look too good for them. The bottom drops out of whatever temporary lift they get from the World Series as soon as it's over.
Remember when they didn't even start the season until after baseball?

I actually happen to like Sunday's Programming and usually am not happy when Fox puts baseball on. (Cept this year Go Rangers!)

I also happen to like Fringe, not a huge Bones fan but I will watch it.

I really have to wonder how many people out there are still going to watch American Idol without Simon Cowell? As for the animated shows on Sunday nights, it sure isn't common decency that is driving Fox to air that filth (apart from The Simpsons), but that's just my two cents. However, they do put decency above profits with America's Most Wanted, and they do a good job covering MLB (Tim McCarver notwithstanding) and the NFL. I don't think there's any need for panic at Fox, but if Idol drops significantly (and I think it will), then there's going to be a problem.

After attending a couple of high school football games this season and listening to the language being used between the teens (both male and female) it isn't surprising to me that Fox continues to lower the bar to appeal to the frat-boy (and girl) viewer. And hence the appeal of drivel like '24' and AI.

Except for the very occasional sports game Fox is a non-player in my house and has been for years.
