FOX News signs Palin

I think in this decade we might see Palin possibly overtake Rush in the Talk TV wars and the Talk Radio Wars.
Palin May not take Obama Down in a presidential race but she could take down Rush in the Talk Radio Wars and Talk TV wars.

Not a snowball's chance in hell! I say the following as somebody whose political views are 180 degrees away from both of these people, so I can't be called a Limbaugh fan. But I have to say - he's incredibly smart, articulate, and knowledgeable. He's also fun to listen to. Palin, on the other hand, is beautiful and has charisma. But she has none of Limbaugh's knowledge base, and she's not particularly articulate. Also, she has a somewhat nasal voice, which would be irritating to listen to on the radio for any length of time. There's a reason Fox News didn't give Palin her own show - it's because she talks in sound bites, and doesn't have the depth to carry a program.

If you heard the relevations by Steve Schmidt (the McCain/Palin campaign manager) on 60 Mintues last Sunday, you know what I'm talking about. For example, she didn't know the difference between North and South Korea. Now she could study-up and get educated, but that's a lengthy process, and could take a few years.

The only conservative talker on the scene now with the articulateness and charisma to rival Rush is Glenn Beck, and in my opinion, he comes off as a little too emotional and unstable to gain the mainstream acceptance that Rush has earned.

And I thought that being on FOX was her real goal all along when she walked away from her day job in Alaska. She is a perfect fit with their ideology and is certainly as photogenic as anybody on Faux except for maybe Steve Doucy (spelling?). She will be a stand-out as she is maybe the only brunette fembot they have other than Geraldo!

And why would having your own show prevent you from running for office? You just stop doing the show when you announce your candidacy. Look at Mike Huckabee - he has his own show on Fox News, and I have no doubt he's considering a run in 2012...or at least he was until all the bad publicity surrounding his commutation a few years ago of that prisoner who recently killed the police officers in Washington state.
Not to mention he has a nice 5-minute 3-times-daily radio show similar to Paul Harvey's. I'm not a conservative but he is a pleasant man and whether I agree with him or not, he sounds like he makes sense. I only listen to two of his shows since I'm usually not near a radio at noon.
