The latest is January. Mid-month last I heard. They will face a challenge since the front office seems to be in disarray, but the News Director is pretty solid and the main anchor is good. Weather guys are decent and the sports department although green, is hungry. All in all they will be the least experienced of the 4 news stations but may offer a breath of fresh air. The reporters seem to be the weakest link in their approach. Most all of them right out of school, and one of the better producers just bolted for a better (more stable) gig. If the economy wasn't so bad the outlook would be better, but in the current state of economic crisis, they will really have to be on their A game from the word go, and every night after that. For the people I know involved, I hope they make it. As for the front office, they will be gone as soon as the stations sell, and not a moment too soon before they completely ruin a lot of people's hard work.
