Free FM Officially Dead in Phoenix

I'm in the minority - I actually happen to like her songs.... But Paris all day all night would be too much.

I don't think it's too bad anymore, now that he's taking calls, and doing an excellent job with that. It is pretty funny. I just meant the Paris Hilton music was "horrible" ;D

I'm with you on this one. Paris' music, if you can call it music, is beyond horrible. The stunt is definitely working though. I can't believe how many people are posting, good and bad about it. Sounds like CBS accomplished their goal!
Uhh sure, if their "goal" was to get people posting about a stunt on a RADIO INDUSTRY message board then yes, mission accomplished.

I think so. And it isnt just this board... You can visit fan or official forums for Free FM or any of the shows on Free FM and you can see there is a whole lot of posting going on. 8)

Well u certainly can't stop posting about it. So yes, mission accomplished indeed. Isn't that what stunting is supposed to accomplish? I hear a buzz in the air...don't u? I bet you'll be tuning in to see what happens next and so will many many others.

Again, I work in the business. I don't hear much "buzz" about this at all. As for people tuning in, great, they'll tune in at 5pm to hear it--but will they stay?

I feel like a total wimp (as a guy) admitting that I'm actually enjoying hearing a gay DJ playing Paris Hilton songs. I think after 2-3 days I'd be sick of it, but as a one-day deal, it's actually entertaining radio.

Meantime, azcentral.com has a story about the stunt near the top of the homepage. The story says that "other sites" are saying the station will flip to an adult contemporary format....and provides a link to one of those sites...blowmeuptom.com...the Leykis site....where there's a post from "Radioguy 2007" that reads:

CBS Radio Phoenix is planning flipping 101.5 FREE FM to AC Fresh 101.5 and dropping the Tom Leykis Show all together.

Please tell to Tom Leykis listener that CBS Radio in Phoenix is dropping 101.5 FREE FM and Tom Leykis for Fresh 101.5 AC format.

Yep...Radioguy2006 (as we know him here) has affected the reporting of the website of the biggest newspaper in the state.

Michael, I didn't believe you when I read your post, I honestly thought you were pulling a radioguy2006 of your own, but indeed you're correct. My apologies sir. :)

Well, we can now be sure that AC is out if radioguy2006/7 says that's what it will be.

Is this Rupaul guy ... or whatever his name it. Are the phoners being recycled? I've been listening off and on all day and I haven't heard any repeats, so I assume it's staying fresh. (no pun intended)

MHagerty: Your post is the funniest thing I have read all week!

Probably one of the funniest and weirdest videos I've seen on the net. But I love it, and thought it's a perfect song for him anyways. I was cracking up when he played it yesterday twice in a row :D

I didnt hear that

Yeah, the video is hillarious. the "girl" who does it is actually the guy in the recent Skittles commercial who trades the singing rabbit for a pack of Skittles....

www.liamshow.com is his homepage

Could there really be this many stupid listeners... another caller wanting to know where to sign the petition to Free Paris.

Can't wait for tomorrow's Arizona Socialist Republic.
I fully expect the page one headline to be--

"Dewey Defeats Truman"

Busheeeee...you got some 'splainin' to do. ;)
