Fresh coming to DC???

let's see:

CBS register's a whole bunch of domains March 6, including Fresh947.com

yesterday dcrtv.com reports rumors of a flip is in the works.

anyone else been hearing these rumblings?

this one caught me by surprise... and there are a few more variations of the fresh domain being bought up by their web partner Intertech media

CBS wouldn't want to put Fresh on 106.7 instead? 94.7 just scored a 2.3 in the new PPM ratings which isn't much but something.

Is there really a hole for a second HOT A/C in D.C.? Fresh-FM isn't doing anything in Chicago or Las Vegas. NYC is doing "okay." I was a fan of this concept on inception, but can't see a track record that would justify Fresh-FM in another big market. I think it will struggle to get a 2 share.

congrats on-the fresh format when i travel though nyc i hear a good mix of music i think it will be a welcomed station i hope boston gets fresh to take on magic!!!

Who's the VO duo in that movie? That's the same male/female image voice Entercom uses for WSPA in Greenville, SC. Always wondered who that was.

Fresh would probably never be in Boston unless they take Mix 98.5 and scrap it.

You can drive from NY to VA and get one of CBS Radios AC stations Fresh 102.7, Fresh 94.7, and 101.9 Lite FM. You prolly won't get one of them in south NJ while on the NJ Turnpike.

As for the Fresh in Las Vegas that isn't owned by CBS and Chicago already has two ACs plus a Hot AC, no room for Fresh I don't think.

There is also a rumor that the WHFS calls will be used simply because of the 'FS'. But don't worry HFSers when this format flops like all other CBS fiascos the calls will be slapped on something else unworthy....like Spanish Sports Talk(goooooooaaaaaaaalllllllll) network or a traffic broadcast repeater along I95. Never underestimate the power of a necktie to choke off oxygen to the brain. Perhaps when Fresh hits the bricks CBS will launch a 'kiddie' format with nursery rhymes set to synthpop. Or an FM version of "My Redneck Wedding". Or a talk show with the Slap Chop guy giving marital advice. I'm just brainstorming here....can't be much worse than CBS's efforts..................evolve?...........

In 1975, I remember Soft AC on 94.7 as Lite Radio with calls that reflected "Lite". They wnt head to head with WASH and I thought they were better. Wish I remembered more.

Now I read a rumor that 106.7 might get the WHFS calls and a triple A format. If so, then I wouldn't be surprised if it as stale as the Globe.

Actually, one of those stations is CBS' own "Fresh 105.9" WCFS (nee WCKG)...

Don't laugh, but CBS recently launched "Kydz Radio" in Vegas on their underperforming sports AM signal...

I was talking about Lite 93.9 and 100.3 Love FM being the two ACs with 101.9 The Mix being the Hot AC. Making Fresh 105.9 number 4 among AC and Hot AC in Chicago.

I think Fresh is really coming. CBS Radio wouldn't take the time to have a press release on cbsradio.com and have a flash video on the new 94.7 website. They did the same for 92.3 Now FM have a press release and start the stations website early.
