As you may have heard, I have recently accepted an On-Air position in another market. In any measurable way, both personally and professionally, this amazing opportunity presents all that I have worked for since I began my Radio career 32 years ago...I am humbly grateful for being given this chance.
That having been said, nothing in the Universe is without balance. Leaving Las Vegas and the State of Nevada is a very difficult thing for me. There is so much important work to be done by Nevada's On-Air Radio Broadcasters, yet I had to choose between continuing that work, or being a responsible husband and father....This time, my family simply had to win....and so it has.
One of the other choices I made here, was to publicly stir the debate about the present and future state of Las Vegas Radio. In doing so, I became the target of the very derisive, pathological snots that have so far kept Southern Nevada On-Air Radio professionals the laughingstock of the local media management. So pathetic was the level of the behavior shown here, that those involved still have no idea that their own snide bile proved all of my points....with one savage, juvenile, personal attack at a time.
(And will again, I suspect. "....Right after this important message....")
So be it.
As I leave here, I offer this one point for you to consider, and act upon, if you see fit....
Revive the honored profession of Las Vegas On-Air Broadcaster. Take note of the very serious flaws in professional logic that somehow make it alright for a major Las Vegas FM in town to promote and then gleefully hand out "No DJ's" t-shirts to the public. Reject the premise of the "Idiot DJ", and anyone who would actually believe in it....quickly, forcefully, and publicly. (Unless you actually are an Idiot DJ...On-Air or off....In which case, leave this industry to those of us who believe in it, not exploit it.)
God Bless All of You...Find Great Success and Prosperity.

Good Luck!
