Seems this item from the ''All Access'' Job Board first hit just before Christmas:

''Canton Top 40 looking for a phone intensive entertainer. You'll inherit #1 numbers, can you keep 'em? Prove it! Rush me your best C-D aircheck ASAP

John Stewart
Q92 FM
393 Smyth Ave
Alliance, OH 44601

No Voice Tackers. No Networks. Deadline is January 31st 06''

I wonder which ''Children of the Corn'' might be moving on?

I'd like to know which #1 numbers he's talking about. I bet it's just part time work. Whose out on the beach that would be willing to fill it?

This one's easy if you "connect the dots" and remember the phrase "#1 show at night". Hell, I'm not across the street anymore and I can figure this one out.
...and if I were 20 years younger, I'd figure it'd be a pretty good place to start; actually, if it weren't for the "shout outs" and the "F.U."s...well, I've been out of it long enough, I might consider answering a call if someone made one, just to take a run at my former employer.
Let more flaming commence!

You know Brady, if its any consolation, your former employer still has your smiling face on its West Tusc Billboard in Perry Township, as you enter Canton..for almost a year now..I still think that one of the more bizzare things I've seen for a while now..>

The funny thing about that is where Stewart wants someone to "prove" they can keep that #1 in the fetus demographic. Meanwhile, Stewart himself has YET to get #1 in his daypart. What's wrong with THAT picture?!

C’mon Richard. Put your crayons away and let me draw YOU a picture. Sure Q92 is #1 in the "fetus" demo, as it should be. But, did you know it is also #1 in more “credible” / “sellable” demos as well. Did you know Q92 is #1 M-F 6a-10a A18-24? A18-34? A21-34? A25-34? The same thing for Women in the same demos? The same thing for Men with the exception of 21-34? And that is just AM Drive. Even with “powerhouse” HBC-FM we still pull #1 numbers in Mid-day in A18-34 and A25-34 as well as Men 18-24, 18-34, 18-44 and 21-34. Even J. Stew. can get lucky enough to pull #1 numbers in PM Drive in A18-24, A18-34, A21-34 and A25-34 along with Men 18-24. What’s up with that? And Deluca? He is only number one in A18-24, A18-34, A18-44, women the same plus W21-34 and Men 18-24 and 18-34. And we have fun doing it!

All in all, Q92 is number one in over 290 demo cells. Granted, our bread and butter is the younger demo. But, don’t tell me it doesn’t mean anything to pull numbers in the demos mentioned above. Was it a fluke? Don’t know. Ask me in a few weeks. I just appreciate the forum to share facts and not conjecture. Happy New Year everyone!!

Good points. However 18-34 no matter how you slice it, is too young. EVERYONE buys 25-54 or 25-49 with the exception of about 11% of NATIONAL advertisers that buy 18-49 and SOMETIMES 18-34. And then Canton is not a priority.

You'd like to think so, but it's not.

Yeah...my stepson lives in Perry and my wife gives me an update every week (the one at Myers Lake finally came down, but I thnk the one on RT 30 is still there). Wish I could collect the paycheck for my continued "advertised" employment!
Just goes to show you what a weird biz this is.

What a response like THAT no wonder you referenced crayons, Donnie.

I dunno. What is up with THAT??? Those numbers would be great...[/b]if you were a freaking rock station[/b], Donnie. CHR can give a crap about MEN!!!

Nice picture. It's that of someone who doesn't get it. Proving my point again, a title means ish. Next time, use a dry erase board.
