La Preciosa Takes Over in Louisville

On March 21 at 5pm Clear Channel will flip Active Rock WXTF/Louisville, currently simulcasting with clustermate WTFX, to Spanish Oldies WLPP as "La Preciosa," programmed by Alex Lucas from KSJO/San Jose. The gold-based format offers music from the '70s, '80s and '90s and targets an 18-54 audience. WTFX is keeping the Rock format.

"We are very excited about the launch of our new station in Kentuckiana," said CC Louisville VP/GM Kevin Hughes. "La Preciosa 101.7 will allow us to provide a new service to an important part of our community. We are eager for that opportunity."

I love hyperbole. The signal on that class A does not put a 60 dbu over any part of the whole county where Lousiville is located.

I was wondering the same thing. Not even "TSZ" can call themselves either a Louisville station. I am not sure where if anywhere in the county the signal could go inside buildings.
