Frosty, Heidi & Frank on 790?

Been trying to listen daily when possible. The EXTENDED news breaks just kill it for me. Some of those breaks are soooo long, I literally forget what I'm listening to. Even they seem to forget the current topic when they come back.... Last couple days, I just waited for the podcast (which are break-free).

And therein lies the problem. If you want to do Hot Talk, you need a Hot talk clock. KLSX pas programmed like a music station for younger listeners accustomed to 18-minute music sweeps. 3-segments/3-breaks an hour. You're not going to connect with younger listeners if you keep programming to grandpa.

Honestly, you'd think it was the law that AM stations have to sound like that. It's not and they don't. Timidity and lack of vision from the PD is the problem.
...and that worked out well for KLSX for 14 years as a talk format...

Frank mentioned yesterday that KABC's podcasting is up (somthing like) 340,000% since they've been on. With all the commercial/news/traffic updates being removed from the podcast, it's not hard to figure out why.

I am one of those podcast listeners.

I use my ipod to listen to them live and it's nice to know that they are tracking that. However what would be really interesting would be to find out how many of those podcast listeners drop off after FHF finish. I can't imagine any one of their listeners staying tuned to listen to Hannity. I go over to Handel on KFI.
