Frosty Stillwell's bout with retirement didn't last long

Tim Conway Jr had Frosty Stillwell on his show during the 9:00pm hour last night and apparently he will be on Sunday from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. A few things to consider:

1 - First of all I'm not 100% sure it was Frosty Stillwell since it could have been Brian David Whitman, but it sure sounded like him
2 - I always though that he probably out of the triplets had the most potential for his own show, political or not since he fit the mold that program directors like to have (eg respect management), whereas Heidi and certainly Frank were loose canons. I don't know why KABC didn't keep him. The old biddies on KABC would have loved him on his own political show.
3 - KFI may be auditioning him and will see how the response is before giving him another shot

I always thought it was sort of disingenious for FHF to keep saying that Frosty was retiring from radio. He clearly was not. He was merely leaving the team since he didn't think there was any program director in radio today (particularly in today's economy) that would pay a three man team (which I think is true) and secondly he doesn't believe there is any shot of making a profit doing podcasts (which I also believe) so the guy was not retiring from radio he was leaving the team to look for a job. So if it really is the real Frosty Stillwell then that "retirement" sure was short.

Always thought he was the odd-man-out in that trio. . the only one with any real broadcasting chops. Good luck to him.

Frosty mentioned that the 3 of them were basically living off saving trying to split a radio salary 3-ways. he knew there was no way the 3 could make any real money in this radio climate.

i finally listened to last week via podcast. not bad at all. not really my thing, but sounds like a good fit for kfi.

re: 1) If you're unable to differentiate the voice between Frosty & Brian, you've obviously haven't listened to either of them for a long time b/c it's pretty obvious when Whitman does impressions...

Brian did fool the LA Times though, back on KLSX during the Don Imus contreversey he did a fake impression of a Don Imus interview and the LA Times reported that Don Imus was on the show

Should be as no surprise. The LA/OC Weekly does more hard journalism than the Times. There are exceptions (Bell Scandal), but on the daily front the LA Times is just barely above wrapping fish in.

What made me unsure whether it was Brian Whitman or not was that Conway was promoing his show during the day and in the promo he said that a former radio host was going to be his surprise guest and he played Whitman as Leykis and said "No it's not him", then he played whitman doing Rick Dees and said it wasn't him. So I assumed it was Whitman that was the surprise guest.

But I guess he was merely helping his buddy out by having him record a few promos doing Leykis and Dees

Speaking of Whitman, looks lihe he has disappeared again. Last time I checked his last podcast was summer. Now I checked again and it states "Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here". Don't know what is the problem with him, he really is a talent in my eyes.
