Ft Walton Radio..blah..

WYZB actually signed on in May of 1986, as Hot AC B-105. It quickly went to the top of the ratings in FWB and remained #1 until 98.1 WWSF debuted it's Top-40 format in late '88, as 98 Surf. WWSF was 100 KW, while B-105 was only 3KW at the time, on a short stick on Hollywood Blvd, and didn't put a good signal into Crestview. Surf went to #1, and WYZB moved to an AC format for a short period of time, then fired their entire airstaff and went to an automated oldies format, Kool 105.5.
