Now I do not know a whole lot about the Atlanta market, but I do remember a few things....
Like 99X was Power 99 before they went rock. Atlanta went a very long time without a true Top 40, and Star 94 is the one who came closest to being a Top 40. Now I am not sure if someone esle came along before Q100 did, but from what I can tell, no one has. So now you have the de facto Top 40 station by default going up against a true Top 40, and now the true top 40 is moving to a larger, more powerful stick on 99.7, the old 99X. So I guess it would be true then that 99.7 has come full circle back to being a true top 40 station right?
I doubt Star will become a true Top 40, but their days of being the default top 40 is over.
