Fusion 100.1 FM Is Now...

On the air.  This station is playing everything from Country, Classic Pop, Motown and Disco tunes.  This radio station is making me laugh right now. :D  To Mr. Paul and Gower, you have nothing to worry about.  This radio station won't survive with this format.  It will be a failure in the long run.

It's just a stunt, RDP... ;)

I think the station is stunting, but the so far i like the music.

Edit: Yeah i believe it's a stunt because i don't see WDXX.com redirection to a new site, and there is no Facebook page for Fusion 100 (yet)

With the name "Fusion" and being formatically all over the place, it couldn't possibly be 100.1's permanent format. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out. I can remember the day WTUN became WDXX and went country. I am so old... :D

Do any of y'all remember when WSYA-FM was stunting back in the late 80's (just before "Mix" was unveiled) and they were going by the name "Bright & Breezy 103" for several days? :D

yes..and the continuous loop of dr. demento songs (kill the wabbit, transfusion)

This radio station is all over the map.

One minute they want to be like ALEX FM and Q 96.1.

Now they want to be more like Y-102.

Man this new radio station one big hoot indeed.  :D

Still getting my laughs on, as I listen.

.. so they wait until one week before college football season (the football season that really matters to Alabama) and decide NOT to run with a sports format?

They still have a week to stunt before college games start...

If I was the Program and/or Music director for ALEX FM, I would entertain a flip to Album Rock in response to Fuzion 100.1 FM.

Yes I would play the deeper Rock cuts from the 60s, 70s and 80s, on here.

I would make this new fly by night hybird earn their stripes.

What say you Mr. Zach or Paul?

I would do it in a hot Selma minute, if I had any say about it.

Since I don't, I may as well forget about that idea and concentrate on getting my own LPFM station in existence.

Very interesting mix ahhh fusion. for those tired of the same 300 songs, this is the station for you. I kinda like it. It is good to see a station take a chance and shake it up.

Listening online, I hear a lot of Mix 103.3 in this.

Yup..heavily influenced by Mix 103 / Q 96.

Perfect fit for someone who like a wide range of music but hates flipping channels.

I hope they still haven't started transmitting in full power because in East Montgomery - along Taylor Road - the stereo still goes in and out in places, and it's impossible to pick up in stereo in many east Montgomery residences.

The music mix is good. I wish they'd cut down the country to maybe 1 or 2 max per hour, 1 at night. But that's just me.

Expect a change at 1250 AM / 95.5 soon. Maybe they should try a go at oldies exclusively. I thought WACV in their time doing oldies was rather fine myself. Couldn't do much worse than they (WRBZ) are now and it is an underserved format.

WRBZ will change real soon.

I see it happening.

For this Fuzion station, I'm not impressed with it.

This new presentation is one big train wreck.

Kudos still go out to ALEX and Q 96.1.

They have the Classic/Variety Hits presentation honed down very well.

P.S. I still see ALEX and Q 96.1 trouncing all over this new fly by night presentation.

A new approach to radio formats...play a little bit of everything.
Sort of like your Ipod.
You know what they say....
The pioneers always get the arrows first.
