Gavin is out as well...

I hope they stay with Cumulus....Knowing Dan Bennett, they are not going to just let the Cowboys walk out the building without a fight.

Dan Bennett can indeed be ruthless. BUt money still talks and I'd never underestimate Jerry's money and influence, what about you, Salem?

People keep acting like landing the Stars would make them great, give me a break.

You missed the point, Trelvis: the fact that they'd have the NFL, NHL and NASCAR.

But what does having the NFL, NHL and NASCAR get a station? The Ticket has the NFL and their ratings have dropped in the PPM world. WBAP has the Stars, but they were a ratings and revenue powerhouse before the NHL came to town. And KLLI had 105.3, and it's caused them to change formats.

Okay it gives them 3 sports franchises. That doesn't necessarily translate into entertaining radio. And it still comes down to entertaining an audience.

Here's a question for the group: Do you usally watch sports on TV or listen to the radio broadcast?
(Ratings suggest much more people watch than listen)

If you listen, how often do you find yourself staying with the flagship station once the game is over, the next day, etc. In other words, if you usally hate Rush and Sean, and find yourself in the car one night and listening to WBAP, do you immediately tune out the next day when you get in the car and Rush/Sean is on?
