Now John, to be fair, it's a padded box where you wear a coat with the sleeves in the front; but I guess it is a box all the same....
I think the hiring of Gene was weighed on reaction to his prior fillins for hosts who were on vacation (believe he has filled in for JD, Dan & Buddy in the past) and how he handled himself with callers & topics.

So here's Gino this morning telling everone what a proud Catholic he is. I have no problem with his faith, but can we expect objectivity should he have to report on a church issue? What about abortion Gene? How 'bout those abusive priests? I guess w/you on the news desk, we won't hear anything negitive about the church. I wonder if Lisa ran this up the corporate flagpole?
Why would the GM allow him to do talk radio? How much could they be possibly paying him for 3 hours on Saturday? Now, he compromises his journalistic integrity. Gene Valicenti, MR. CATHOLIC!
Then he says, "I can't get my email right, all this new technology". Gene email is hardly new technology. He should stick to reading the promter!
