I just got some inside info on some big changes coming to Binghamton by MONDAY!(STATICFMDJ HAS ADDED SOME TWISTS!!)

- Oz is coming back to the Whale to do mornings. Kathy White can't CHOOSE THE NEWS and dyes her hair RED in protest.
- Steve is going back to Star to do mornings with Mark and Meg. Star is also changing back to CHR with McCoy programming it from Columbus.
- Jacko is returning to mix to do AM Drive, Middays, PM Drive, and Overnights
- Dan Michaels is crossing the street (again) back to CC to be the van washer and traffic manager. (he will also be VTing weekends on WINR)
- The Whale is changing Back to CHR and Thunder is very excited about it.
- 104 is changing back to oldies with Doug Moser as PD and Wally as APD/MD/Mornings (they are bringing back the pink dotted van too)
- WLTB is changing to alternative for a week then back to AC. Dana is going to do mornings with Barb Fox, Doc Wells and Westy. (John and Chris are going to the Giant to help make the Birthday Cakes) Don Perkins has promised to get them a brand new "CRAPMAN 2000" round pot board!
- Scappy is teaming up with Ray Ross for the new HD 1360…Hits and Hip Hop (with Polka too).
- 106.7 is increasing power to 12 watts AND NOW HAS 12 TRANSLATORS!!
- Glen Pitcher and Kathy White are doing mornings on "THE NEW" B107.5 and Jerry and Dave move to WINR to increase ratings
- WLTB just changed format again after a week. Now Steve's bright idea is to have POLKA in the morning and Bill Flynn wants a raise.
- LOUI G goes back to LOUIE D after 2 Pac rises in protest.
- John Garabedian sues Al Brock for breaching his contract (SOMEHOW HE FOUND A LOOPHOLE)
- Doug Mosher Goes to middays on the Hawk and John Davison still won't go back to PD.
- John and Chris go to cool 100 as shimes quits for not being able to voice track his morning show anymore.(ha)
- Derek Black gets hired at Q107 to be TJ's Sidekick!!!

- Wildman goes to nights on WINR and gets the led out

-KJ is returning to open a restaurant in one of Citadel’s studios not in use. He will be selling “Garbage Plates”.
-The Wildman WILL be going to WINR; as long as they agree that he doesn’t have to play commercials.
-Dangerous Dem Jones has just filed a law suit against Dan Comperetta and Dan Dempsey for using the handle ‘dangerous’ with out a license.
-Taylor still likes girls. (And Bill Sheridan is still pissed)…Or was that Amy? Steve care to chime in?
-Tim Boland found a NEW Timmy Drop to use.
-Great Rockin’ Gold is returning to a 101.7 near you!

Shimes, I would love to e-mail you, but I must remain behind my veil of secrecy. I consider my self a Radio-info crime fighter, and if you were to find out my real identity, the safety of thousands could be compromised. Although, for the right amount of Payola I would be willing to meet you for a romantic evening of radio jargon and processing analysis.

To say WNKI sounds good formatically is debatable. The station sounds good technically, but formatically, it sounds like bi-polar Hot AC-CHR. It'll do for Elmira-Corning, I suppose, but in a larger market, it would get eaten alive. Plus, Backyard's got the wrong formats on the wrong signals in E-C.

Flip Wink and Pig. Country would kill across the board, 25-54 Persons on the big 50 kW FM stick. It would smoke Route 81, Funtner and Hawras. Games, Set and Match. Put the Hot AC-CHR on one of the Class A sticks. Just look at what Country formats do in Syracuse, Buffalo, Albany, Rochester and Cleveland. It's the closest thing to suburban CHR-Hot AC as you can get, with plenty of currents, consistently good product and hot male and female acts to promote. Country is the new CHR.

I must interject at this time to prevent “real” analysis on this satirical tread. Please keep your educated market hypothesis to another post. Preferably a thread that cares even slightly about Elmira (Note to editor, if Binghamton were to have arm pits: The left would be known as Elmira and the right [Ithaca or Utica]-which ever you like less). I have not been vague in my contempt for “The Greater Binghamton Area” but Elmira? Why bother getting up in the morning?

And for those who care; in my opinion CHR is the New Classic Rock. AC is the new Polka. Oldies is the new News Talk, and 70’s is the new 90’s (or Jack FM).
