Getting 990 CBW tonight

CBW was definitely roaring in Tuesday night. Of course that's because I was in a hotel on the west side of Winnipeg...about eight miles from the stick! ;D

On a more serious....if somewhat OT note...

I didn't have a lot of time for DX on my just-concluded three night road trip. In Winnipeg, the strongest skywave signals were in the middle of the dial. KFAB and CKWX (which was something of a surprise). "Distance champ" was WWL. WLS and WHO also had nice signals. Noise was a problem on some parts of the dial being that I was in an urban hotel. The area was strip mall/big box retailers mixed with office and industrial parks. (West Elice avenue....Polo Park neighborhood. And, of course, "Elice" is pronounced
like "Ellis" :)).

I get CBW most nights, there are no adjacent channels to interfere with it here.

Where are you located?

Being about 190 km (120 miles) west of Montreal, I do have a co-channel to deal with, but at times CBW comes out on top. Montreal's CKGM runs 50kW day/night, but must but seriously nulled to the west, to protect CBW's night time signal.

Saint Peters, Missouri slightly west of St. Louis.

Speaking of St. Louis....

During my night in Winnipeg this week, KMOX was present with a steady signal, but KFAB and CKWX were both splattering all over it.
