Oh Puh-Leaze!!
I wish NBC would STOP showing those heart-tugging "Up Close & Personal" vignettes during the Olympics coverage, and just simply show the events!!
And, for that matter, why shouldn't they show the events LIVE during the day, and then repeat them in prime-time for the viewers who are at work during the day, so that those who don't have to work during the day (who work at night) can see the events live and uncut??
Granted, there IS a time differential nurmally between the U.S. and the host country for the Olympics. But I still feel that they still should try and show as much of the events LIVE and uncut as possible, even if that means showing the live events in the daytime or even overnight, and then repeating them during prime-time.
