Good Souding CHR's

What are some good sounding CHR's in your opinion?

My favorite would be: KISS 95.1
Charlotte, NC  - good mix of rhythmic and pop and rock

Mix 97.7
Myrtle Beach, SC  - they has a good mix and I believe uses the same audio for station ID as KISS 95.1

92.3 Now FM
New York  - sounds good and good djs along with commerical free Monday's

I don't think WIHT/Washington, DC gets enough credit on here.

Great imaging, great sounding DJs... they really make a big deal out of being in the "capitol" city. It's a fun station to listen to. Good music mix and one of the more dance-friendly CHRs as well.

any of the alternative leaning ones/adult leaning ones:
98.5 KRZ
Z100 NY (hometown station)
92.3 Now (Only cuz of Lisa Paige) bahaha
KC 101
XL 106.7
ZRock 107.5
Channel 96.3
Kiss 106.1 Seattle (sounds a lot better than they did years ago when they were owned by CBS!)
Z 104.3
Kiss 108
Q 97.9
B 98.5
97 BHT
Q102
FM 97
B104
93.7 WSTW
Alice 107.7
Channel 94.5 Dayton

I still consider 93-3 FLZ in Tampa to be the standard..

WABB in Mobile, AL is pretty consistently good

WNCI in Columbus is another one of my favorites

Actually no - they've always sounded like this.

Whaaat? They were nowhere near as rock-leaning during the mid-00's.

Anyway, some of my favorites:

Z100 - New York (imaging has gotten weaker, but Z is still a man among boys)
Kiss 95.1 - Charlotte (gotta say that WIBT is sounding pretty good too, though)
93-3 FLZ - Tampa Bay
107.5 The River - Nashville
XL 106-7 - Orlando
Island 106 - Panama City (excellent for Market 240, especially the morning show)
95SX - Charleston (possibly 2010's most improved!)

K104.7 WSPK
Fun107 WFHN
Q979 WJBQ
Star 1037 WRTS
Fly 92.3 WFLY
WNCI 979

I'm not a fan of 106.1 KISS FM's excessive rock lean, to be honest. They should at least remove all the rock material and sound like either 102.7 KIIS-FM, 103.5 KISS FM Chicago or Z100, plus the station sounds too cookie-cutter IMO, it needs to be more exciting. At least they have decent mixshows on Friday/Saturday nights.

Cookie cutter? How can they be sounding cookie cutter if they play a lot of Rock records by local artists???And why should they remove these types of records if the station's doing very well in the PPMs and sounds like a great local CHR?
What's next? You're going to dictate that WIXX 101.1 Green Bay remove its Rock lean as well?
Some people on here would like for 102.7 KIIS FM to remove their Rhythmic lean, but why should they - they're number one in the ratings. The station is programmed as a successful CHR and that's all that matters

Channel 945/Dayton = Premium Choice - what's go good about that!? It's cookie cutter too. No local programming.
WNCI/Columbus is good.
All Hit 95 XIL in Parkersburg is very good too.

Other good sounding CHRs; WDOD "96-5 The Mountain" Chattanooga, WXLK " K92" Roanoke, and WVAQ "102 VAQ" Morgantown.

And if we're including Adult CHRs, I really like "Mix 106.5" Baltimore & "Q102" WKRQ Cincinnati.

Ditto on all of that :)

Speaking of 96.5 The Mountain in Chattanooga, TN didn't CC new return of CHR in that market come out on top of WDOD 96.5 The Mountain?

Question:

Did WKQI change some things around or something?
I noticed no mixes on Friday's now and the Saturday night mix sounds a tad different from what it used to sound like (but this is judging only 40 minutes into it, so..). I'm not sure what goes on on Sunday nights right now, but last time I checked they also mixed on Sunday nights....

Anyway, if they do dubstep from 3-5am Sunday morning, kudos to them for being interesting and different.
