This entire discussion makes it sound like Nassau is pulling the plug on Frank because it lost to Y-102. That's not what's really happening here. It has nothing to do with ratings and personalities, but rather Nassau didn't have the money to make the payment for Frank. If it were a ratings issue, Nassau probably would have kept the station and just switched formats.
With the current economic climate, the advertisers simply fell into a black hole. This problem is not unique to Nassau or Frank. In fact, Y-102 most likely has the same problem as well as any other radio station in the USA.
By all reports on this board, WDAC could have pulled the plug on Nassau/Frank 6 months ago when Nassau couldn't make payment. In fact, I seem to remember a report of a third party that was interested in purchasing the station. But WDAC had the LMA extended for some reason. Nassau didn't come up with the money, and now it's time for WDAC to get rid of them.
Y-102 wasn't victorious in any battle here. Rather, Frank simply had a heart attack and died.
