Goodbye Full-Powered US Analog TV

Among Birmingham area LPTV's, not counting translators, we have four drones:

• WBUN-CA 28 (Daystar)
• W34BI (HSN)
• W64DK (TBN) - Has DTV CP for ch. 31
• WBXA-CA 2 (MTV2) - Has DTV CP for ch. 12 (with a sizable coverage increase)

of which I'd assume that the two religious broadcasters will eventually switch to DTV, and WBXA might also before being forced to.

Also among the area LPTV's
• W47DC - No DTV CP as yet, but their co-owned radio station has mentioned that they intend to transition at some point
• WBMG-38 - I can't confirm if this station is operating, but it has a DTV CP for ch. 43
• WOTM-19 - Flea powered analog is carried by most B'ham area cable systems even though their signal doesn't even come close to the area.

I can't see WOTM spending money on a DTV transition as they are in an advantageous position with cable carriage. As for the others, just eking out an existence with no cable carriage, I wouldn't be surprised if these DTV CPs expire without being built.
