As has been noted in another thread, it appears that KCDX is using their new transmitter site southeast of Florence. Unfortunately, their new antenna pattern has totally erased any coverage they had into Phoenix. Before, KCDX could be heard with a good radio all the way into Phoenix and was quite clear on a regular car radio throughout the east valley. Now, they appear to be non-existent in the east valley. From their new predicted antenna pattern (http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=KCDX&service=FM&status=C&hours=U), it looks as if they have better coverage into Tucson than Phoenix.
It's kinda sad because KCDX was a unique radio station that played deep classic rock hits 24/7. Plus without the commercials, it was like a classic rock IPOD.
Phoenix radio listeners have really taken it on the chin recently with the departure of alternative music and now KCDX. If it weren't for the Lumberyard and their wacky reverse Lamptimer, what would we do? ;D
