A new press report just issued in Mexico from Grupo Radio Centro way over glorifies KXOS "Exitos 93.9"

According to the report, “Éxitos 93.9FM, emisora que inició operaciones el 15 de abril de 2009, como la primera estación estadounidense operada por Grupo Radio Centro, líder de emisión radial en México, ha venido a revolucionar el panorama radial de L.A., subiendo a la 3ª. posición de los ratings de Arbitron."

Translated, it says that the station has been "increasing to the third among the stations positioned in Arbitron."

The article also brags about increasing its 18-34 numbers by 50 percent, 100 percent with women, and 50 percent with adults 25-54?
Easy to do when you haven't been on the air a long time, but with a cume of just over a million, and a 2.0 share (12+), it's hard to quantify these numbers.

Yes, the share has improved, but to proclaim third place is asinine.

The article said they climbed from #8 in Spanish speaking stations to being tied to #3 in Spanish speaking stations. The funny thing is that they're nowhere close to tying for #3.
Isn't this the chain of Spanish speaking stations according to ratings?
KLVE>KLAX>KSCA>KBUE>KRCD>KXOS
Doesn't look like a #3 to me...I'm surprised their even at a 2.0

Gonna have to call a two-minute minor penalty here for using 6+ numbers. 6+ numbers are irrelevant because nobody uses them for ad purchases, the only use that counts, which is why Arbitron gives them away for free... (stop me if you've all heard any of this before).

P.S. Forget GRC. What an embarrassment for Univision to have someone who is on the payroll be up on here so much with no life posting 24/7. That tells you what kind of an operation they run over there.

Your failed attempt to get it. Like I said the guy is an "executive" for Univision and he spends all day and night here. In a way I get it because he works for a terrible company that is in debt up to it's eyeballs. When they lose Televisa programming it's all over, but that's another topic for another day. Remember what Adam Carolla said (Musicfan you'll appreciate this since your an FM Talk fan) in Los Angeles FM radio is programmed for the stupid or mexicans and I would combine the two words regarding most of the Spanish stations in L.A. GRC had the opportunity to do something great and so far they have struck out just as the Dodgers did tonight....and right on cue Gleason is back online! haha Talk about no life.

You obviously have not tried the link below. My "hobby" (besides building computers and related passtimes) is radio history, and the most extensive online collection of radio data is available, even to you, for free... the product of over 1000 hours of work, and a not inconsiderable expense.

This message board stuff is just something to do over lunch or while on a plane or in an airport or some other idle time that would have been similarly spent watching CNN or reruns of BBC shows were it not for this!
