That reminds me of ELO's talking cellos and synthesizer. I was always fascinated by them whenever I went to an ELO concert.

Do you remember the early synthesizers, the tone frequency was controlled by the capacitance of the artist's hands above the unit? This was long before today's computers and electronic state-of-the-art.

I have seen them, but I do not remember them from experience. I also looked synthesizers up, only to find that the first one was actually invented in the late 1800s!
