Come on, you guys, are acting like this is a new thing!!!!! Ev ery FM used to be reel to reels and maybe a local cut in for weather once an hour that was recorded too!!! William B Williams was on the air everywhere!!!! Plus, it's all cyclical. that means that it will change again. Let it play out like we did when we said nobody wants to hear music on FM because it's "too clear" and "fatiguing"!!!

That was before the age of technology.....

Nobody wants to listen to AM Radio anymore, period. Especially music. I hear some you White Heads talking about getting an oldies station on AM and stuff...it baffling.

Things played out differently before the internet. In the 60's or 70's people couldn't program their own customized mp3 player, plug it into their car and program their own music & playlists. And the art of being a DJ is OVER. It's vaudeville. DJ's used to be able to be edgy and funny, they now can't do ANYTHING. It's watered down crap covered with commercials and repeated play lists.

Local news and talk is the last hope for radio. But companies don't want to hire local people and give it a chance for a while to see if it actually works.

Raleigh has an oldies station on AM
