I loved it too. Say what you want about him and his mistakes, but this explains a lot regarding the joke of the Ben & Skin hiring.

I can't help but to believe that it's true, because Ben & Skin didn't get their new job based on all their past rating success.

I gotta say...after reading it, a lot of it makes sense, especially the mandated Cowboys a**-kissing parts.
There were times when I listened to Richie kiss Jerry's a** on Rage, and even in his blog, and I would think "There's no way a sane human being with that much experience covering the Cowboys actually means that."
That was one of the things that made their show unlistenable to me.

Same here, I hated the Cowboy A** kissing!
What has happened to his voice? He sounds terrible and the whole podcast is sad beyond belief.
Well he has never shown any ability to serve as a host so it's not a surprise that one hour of him talking on that podcast is so messy and disorganized. I still tune in though, one hour is a good enough dose of Greggo...although I wish he'd cool it with the actual sports talk and spend the hour telling more stories of his experiences in radio and run-ins with athletes, celebrities, and other local media members.
I just tuned into B&S for the first time since they took over the slot.
The segment they were doing when I tuned over was "5 positive nuggets about the Cowboys".
Given what Greggo has written in his blog about the "positive Cowboy mandate", I laughed so hard my soda shot out of my nose.
I wonder if Spittle, Gavin is really foolish enough to think what few listeners they have left are buying it, or if he's just so desperate to keep the Cowboy broadcast he's willing to sell the integrity of the 3rd string hosts he currently has working there.
Needless to say, I tuned out...

Did you ever listen to Live 105.3? Talk FM that ran around here about a decade ago. Russ Martin made an absolute total emasculated joke out the man. Live on the air. Day after day. Over and over again. Integrity? Self-respect? Hah!
Gavin Spittle is a whore. B&S are the latest sub-whores to be subject to the treatment. As talentless as B&S are they'll get spit out the back end of this and Spittle will get another gig in Walla Walla or Wasilla.

I completely agree that Greggo's ability to host is bad. With that said, that is one of his uniguness that makes him him. Call me crazy, but if I was a PD I would definetly consider giving him an hour weekday show in the evenings. Just him, no co-host that would need to depend on him and name it something like "The Train Wreck".

At this point I don't think his talent or lack thereof is the question with which a PD would be concerned. A PD would be more worried about whether he would show up for his shift on a regular basis or not which, imho, is why he will NOT get a gig (around here, anyway).

To be honest, everyone knows Greggo has problems and everyone has let him skate by time and time again, save his compatriots at the Little Ticket. If I was an employer, I would've fired his butt at the first sign he was back on the Colombian Marching Powder.

Eh, I'm guessing both stories will match up regarding The Fan already deciding that Ben and Skin were replacing them. Looks like Gavin Spittle really won - he made the move to get Ben and Skin early (the guys he wanted the whole time) because he knew RAGE was spiraling out of control.
