Hannity to leave ABC Radio?

Have you lying leftist loaded diaper morons, imbeciles and idiots noticed that WABC's numbers are substantially higher with PPM. You can't listen in the closet anymore to 77 and then put down WNYC. You all seemed to have had a lot to say about our leaders (Rush, Sean and Mark) without ever admitting to listening. Now truth rises to the top. You have been listening all along. You just don't have the intelligence and capacity to understand the message. HA HA!!

It's a tired old cliché but it's worth repeating: if you don't like it, don't listen. When my hometown classic rocker replaced their local, intelligent and witty morning show with the syndicated drivel of John Boy and Billy, I turned off the radio and turned on XM.

You have plenty of choices besides getting upset over WABC's programming. There's at least 4 public radio stations in your area, I'm sure that more than a few offer alternatives to the commercial talk programs. I'm sure there are millions of folks just like you who'd love to hear progressive talk from Air America - WWRL should be #1 in the demos any day now.

Personally, I hope he goes. I'm a conservative but I am so sick of hearing him play his broken record philosophy of it's my way or the highway, it will be a refreshing change to hear anybody else in his time slot.
 
If he leaves ABC/Citadel ... I wouldn't expect he'd be gone from WABC anyhow. Whoever picks him up ... if (and it's still an if) he leaves, can turn around and resell him to Citadel and ABC for a price (and nowhere near per station what ABC is paying him now.) After all, Rush is a Premiere / Clear Channel product, as is George Noory. Laura Ingraham is a TRN product.

It's a matter of negotiation.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see a split in paying Hannity between Premiere and ABC Radio to keep him intact on Citadel stations, while not having to pay the entire freight of either bearing the total cost of a multi-year, many multi-million dollar personality.

The question is ... was the ABC/Citadel a "sale" of the company or a "merger?" If it was the latter, Hannity could be stuck for the remaining year of his contract. If it's the former, who's going to be able to foot such a big salary in this economy? Premiere did it a year ago with a $50-million deal for Beck ... are they getting a return-on-investment?

With Hannity, you can bet the price won't be cheap for the #2 talker with 530 stations. Someone is going to help ... and ABC would like to keep him.
