Harry's Law Changes

At the beginning of the season, Harry's Law moved upstairs to more, traditional law offices and has taken on cases more like "Boston Legal" did. They even hired an actor from Boston Legal and added him to the cast. What do you think?

The initial incarnation was a bit too goody-goody and failed miserably in its attempts to portray the urban underclass. The new version is way too slick/corporate, with too many undefined new characters. If they can find a happy medium, the show could survive. Since it's on NBC, low ratings will be tolerated.

I think the show is losing its charm. Harry was the focus of the show and that's disappearing.

Losing? It's lost it's charm. It now has the same writing, and same shaky photography style, as all the other "lawyer" shows. I haven't watched since the second show of the season and won't go back. It's not the same show.

I think Kathy Bates is great, but I didn't care for the original version of the show. I might check out the new version, but maybe not...David E. Kelley's productions really irritate me, for the most part.

The last Kelley program I liked was The Practice - the show that morphed later into Boston Legal. The first season or two were well written, but I got sick of all the Kelley gimmicks - overwrought characters yelling at each other all the time, and the obligatory 'shocking twist' at the end.

I forced myself to watch one or two episodes of Boston Legal because it's always fun watching Shatner chew up the scenery, but that's about it.

...and how are the ratings now? Is NBC doing something right? Or was this a bad call?

I'm finding the show to be rather boring. I'd LOVE to see the Defenders suddenly show up on the show.
(Yes, the ones that were canceled by CBS...)
That would be interesting!
