I agree with you. I'm convinced that Paul Harvey will never die. After all, News and Comment has been running since 1951... that's before _my father_ was born. Imagine being the network suit who has to sell something else to affiliates. He might get better traction by selling a show composed of old fragments of tape melded together to make it sound like Harvey is actually still alive.
Paul Harvey was, in effect, the first podcaster.
Fred Thompson sounds like someone who's doing an immitation of another man, which... he is. The script from this morning (Saturday's) newscast was pure Harvey (If you haven't heard it, you can stream it at PaulHarvey.com), but his delivery was his own. That's not a knock against either, just a tribute to how Paul has basically defined an entire concept in radio. Many more years to him.
