Lets face it. From what I heard on the airwaves here in the Bay Area and what I read on this website, I agree, Bay Area radio in my opinion HAS gotten worse!
Radio stations constantlly changing formats(for example: we lose our ONLY country station in THIS market 95-7 The Bear to a mixture of Pop, Rock and R&B Variety formats station called "MAX!" and there is lack of variety of music formated radio stations in this market! What's worse, there's NO Mainstream Top 40 station in this market!!!!! But, there are still a few good reasons to listen to Bay Area radio: Wild 94-9 STILL has the BEST radio talent in this market(Mary Diaz 10am-2pm, St. John 2-6pm, Hoodrat Miguel 6-10pm and Xavier the "X" Man 10pm-2am and THE BEST RADIO SHOW IN THE BAY, THE SUNDAY NIGHT OLDIES SHOW, SUNDAYS FROM 7PM-MIDNIGHT!) K-FOX IS A GREAT CLASSIC ROCK STATION WITH GREAT TALENT AND THE IS THE BEST CLASSIC ROCK STATION IN THE WORLD, and STAR 101-3, has legendary on-air DJ's Don Bleu and the The Hot AC version of American Top 20 with none other than the king of countdowns, Casey Kasem(Ryan Seacreat Hosts the CHR version of AT40). If you want more variety, I suggest internet radio stations, here are some good internet radio stations:
CHR/POP 102.7 KIIS-FM in Los Angeles: www.kiisfm.com
106.1 KISS-FM in Dallas : www.1061kissfm.com
103.5 KISS-FM in Chicago : www.kisschicago.com
Z-100 in New York: www.z100.com
HOT AC 101.9FM The Mix in Chicago: www.wtmx.com
Country WGAR in Cleveland: www.wgar.com
US95-7 in San Diego www.us957.com
This is a partial list of good stations I would listen to on the web. What are your's? PLEASE let me know!<P ID="signature">______________
