I agree that the "latest class" lack in the 'wildeness' department, but look at how the Q106 format/presenation changed over the past 20 years. Classic Rock is simply a much more laid back format. I think Doug Daniels tried to fuse the two a little bit but was hit or miss, but when he was on he was a lot of fun. I think that rubbed off on some of the other jocks like Leif and even Art a little when they were all there. If they weren't wild, there was at least an iota of passion there, now even that's gone from the current lineup. A few years ago they were in good position to try to improve Q106 but it never happened. Both Doug and Leif have moved onto bigger markets like them or not, not sure what's in store for Art but hopefully he can find something.
RIP, WHDQ. 20 years is very respectable in a small market in this day and age, but it's time.
