Actually, the contract was signed before the 102.9 Tower fell. These stations were going on the 102.9 HD originally .
It seems the HD2 is going for the same audience that WLXX (now WRTO-AM) was going for 20+ years ago.Worse. While there is a significant Venezuelan community around Katy, there is none in Chicago.
Might have happened after I tuned in because yesterday they had sport talk on HD4.HD3 is La Nueva but behind 94.1 and 107.3. HD4 still sounds like Amor Celestial even though the text says TUDN
At a check a short while ago KOVE HD-2 was “Tejano Texas” which airs in several markets. The HD-3 was La Nueva, while HD-4 was TUDN.Might have happened after I tuned in because yesterday they had sport talk on HD4.
Right after I posted that, sounds like the delay has been fixed!KQBT HD was flashing on and off for a bit this afternoon. Listening right now and there’s about a 1 second delay between the analog and digital signal. Definitely an interesting listen in an area with weak HD signal lol. Assuming they’re working on it now and hopefully it’s fixed soon!
What a shame. KBRE-HD2 is my go-to station when I'm in Houston (well and 95.7 The Spot). Let's hope they can find an alternative source with a similar playlist.Per RadioInsight, Westwood One’s Good Time Oldies (which KRBE-HD2 airs) is being shut down on April 20. I wonder what will replace it. I’ve been listening to it a lot lately and really like the playlist so I’m pretty bummed out about this.
I’m hoping they could go back to The True Oldies Channel, but I feel like that might be wishful thinking since it’s from a distributor with no connection to Cumulus. What a shame. KBRE-HD2 is my go-to station when I'm in Houston (well and 95.7 The Spot). Let's hope they can find an alternative source with a similar playlist.
Which would give the Houston market four HD-only Country options.104.1 HD2 KRBE is currently running Nash country
5. You’re probably skipping over KPFT HD3Which would give the Houston market four HD-only Country options.

Dallas is pretty high on the list as well. Around 20 stations that are broadcast in digital. Some with "stations between the stations" and some only running an HD1.I wonder if Houston had the largest number of HD signals in the country?
An interesting HD market is Alexandria, La. It's a non rated tiny market yet has 5 stations running HD, all multicasting.Dallas is pretty high on the list as well. Around 20 stations that are broadcast in digital. Some with "stations between the stations" and some only running an HD1.
