Maybe they can put the NOAA weather radio on there like it used to be on 107.5’s HD channel.KGLK HD3 has been silent for a bit now
KGLK HD-3 used to originate Hum FM for its 103.5 translator (and 106.1 before that.) Programming now originates on KGOL 1180, currently operating with a low power STA. I would assume Cox is looking for a new client for that subchannel.Maybe they can put the NOAA weather radio on there like it used to be on 107.5’s HD channel.
You must have caught a brief outage, as both the HD-1 and HD-2 are operating normally at a noontime Sunday check, and have been there on many checks recently.KPFT HD1/analog is dead air and HD2 doesn’t currently exist.
Yeah HD3 has been silent for probably around a month now and HD4 for a couple of days. Their translators are still on the air though.Picked up KGLK HD last night HD-3 and 4 are silent.
I noticed yesterday they were a lot weaker inside the loop. At first I thought that maybe the 96.9 translator was really putting a hurt on them. But now it may be possible that they may be having transmitter issues or scheduled maintenance. I wonder where their auxiliary site is located?KTHT HD is yet again off the air
It is weaker in Conroe. I think their aux is the same location but just at 10k watts. I was getting the Radio Vida 96.9 translator again and KXBJ in Conroe.I noticed yesterday they were a lot weaker inside the loop. KPFT is in the midst of a move to its new permanent studio, so that might have something to do with it. The HD-2 was on a couple of days ago. The KPFT website has a couple of articles and pictures of the moving and construction process.KPFT HD2 is off as of yesterday.
KJIC HD is on at a 9am check today. I have noticed that the signal to the northwest has improved since their new transmitter was installed. They used to have a very poor signal at my Cy-Fair location, but now I get decent reception with a borderline lock on the HD. They still should have a supressed signal towards KSHU.I think KJIC HD is off. Can someone from the south side please confirm if KJIC HD is on or not?
No HD heard on 97.1 this morning though the analog signal is at normal strength. I have noticed that the Radio Vida translator on 96.9 has gotten much stronger recently…I am assuming this is still K245CQ operating from the Med Center area. That translator used to rebroadcast KWWJ but now appears to simulcast KLVL. No idea why the signal has improved; it used to be almost nonexistent at my location. I don’t see any filings for technical changes. Also I think KTHT is full powered again but HD is still off
I think 96.9 is stronger cause KTHT HD is off. I’m not too sure.I do wonder if the stronger signal on 96.9 is stepping on the lower HD digital sideband causing the receiver not to detect the HD signal…though wouldn’t the upper sideband provide redundancy?
Your radio doesn’t support showing more than 4 characters. If you check a station like KPFT or KHPT you probably won’t see -FM at the end of it.Of note, I recently bought a 2022 Ford F-150 -- the display only shows four letters of the HD callsign rather than the full thing, so KODA's HD now shows as "Sunn" for me rather than "Sunny".
Just think of all the money Ford saved on not using any extra characters like other manufacturers.I think 96.9 is stronger cause KTHT HD is off. I’m not too sure.

I know Mercedes is weird. It won’t show -FM but it shows Sunny. I wonder if it would show “MAJIC 94.5” out of Dallas.Just think of all the money Ford saved on not using any extra characters like other manufacturers.

Correct. KHPT shows "KHPT-FM" on the wife's car, "KHPT" on the truck.I think 96.9 is stronger cause KTHT HD is off. I’m not too sure.

Yep, Lopez in Corpus ChristiThat's the same operator who has the extra non-licensed booster for KLMO in San Antonio. It's mentionned in the SA/ATX section.
