So im guessing its too early for ratings on the HD channels but do we even know what the most listened to HD station is?

Mike Walker said:Fanfare has sold a thousand of their HD monitors, and those are pretty much only going to radio stations! There are a helluva lot more HD radios out there than you think. How do I know? Friends of mine at HD stations say they're receiving numerous calls from listeners a week commenting on their streams, and yelling if something goes wrong. That's the kind of response stations only get WHEN THEY HAVE LISTENERS.
Yes my evidence is circumstantial. But the "circumstance" is the experience of people who actually work in radio, and deal with listeners, and a result of their REAL reactions to the radios, programming, and technology. Not what some HD hater thinks should be their experience, but their REAL EXPERIENCE! Want to know how HD is being received? ASK AN ENGINEER OR PROGRAMMER AT AN HD STATION! They deal with REAL LISTENERS all the time.

In the interest of fairness I'll ask....Chuck said:I suppose you can guess the next question: Do the translators actually work? Inquiring minds want to know....

I don't expect anyone to believe you.
That said, If has been my experience that a VERY few Squeaky wheels can get the grease. I once worked at a place where the station was not really receivable at the main studio. (Yeah Yeah I know) It was a station that NEVER showed in the book, but still there were calls with the famous "Do you know you are off the air?".
Gotta love it. Someone love almost everything. (Look at internet radio).
Here's how I look at it. Yesterday I posted here about HD radio. And TODAY iposted about HD radio. Even the Anti Group knows in their heart..... There are more listeners today than yesterday.
I enjoy poking fun at them. but only because they have lost and don't even know it.
Will HD become ubiquitous? (Or is that Ibiquitous.I don't know.
But if my hope about this issue was based on a "We will let the marketplace determine the speed of the digital transition", quote, I'd have to question my sanity.
