I think this HD4 might be using a higher bitrate than WXNY's HD3, but I don't know if there's a way to get any of my HD radios to display the actual bitrate..
All 3 of the WXNY HD sub-channels (2 to 4) are around 24 kbs. Two are 24.7, one is 24.5.

Nash 94.7 is odd, because they have long had the HD4, but no HD2 or HD3. They briefly added a simulcast of WABC, but for some reason could not get its audio to sound decent.
I've noticed that HD3's and HD4's are often more difficult to receive than HD1 or HD2. Sometimes at my location only the latter will be received on certain stations. Perhaps this HD reception issue is leading some to believe that their receivers are not designed to pick up the higher channel(s).
so between wprb hd3 and wxny hd4 we are talking coverage to 5 of the most populated states (de/pa/nj/ny/ct) in the country, probably reaching 50 million listeners, not too shabby, more stations should do this bringing in hole formats to certain large areas woweeee that is a great tool. Would love to see WMID pull this off...
The rebroadcast of WOLD FM was replaced today by a station playing continuous music in a language I cannot identify. Can anyone determine which one it is?
It's Russian.
93.1 HD2 has been silent for months. The Radio Vision Cristiana website no longer mentions the FM frequency.
A Russian station on this translator may make sense, given the primary signal area.
There are now 3 Russian stations on HD subchannels, plus 620 AM.
do you have more update6:27PM: 96.3 HD4 went silent, scrolled to 104.7, and they were playing the same John Lennon song. Now at 6:28, both are silent. Bunch of testing it seems.
(Edit) 6:40 PM: Both are running. Still some heavy distortion, but the EQ on 104.7 better, especially without mono/HD4 limitations.
I wonder if the engineer of WXNY is friends with the owner of WOLD. That seems to be the only explanation why it was on there, buried on the HD4 of a Spanish station in which HD 1-3 are all Spanish
