HEADS ROLLING NOW AT LOCAL SUSQUEHANNA

Dan Halyburton, OUT. Lon Bason, OUT. Hollywood Henderson, OUT. Most of the sales staff, OUT. More to come...
Most of the sales staff? How about NONE of the actual sales people? But why let a little thing like facts get in the way of spreading good rumors... ::)

Are they done firing people?
Well since Susquehanna sold the station effective May 5th, I'd say yeah, they're done firing people. They don't own the station anymore. Or did you mean Cumulus? From what I've been told, Cumulus has yet to fire anybody. Anybody that left since the new owners took over left on their own volition. Looks like a bunch of people stuck around to get their ESOP money, and left on their own...

So let me get this right. Cumulus hasn't fired anyone - yet?
I'm sure theyll end up firing somebody some day, but what my friends there tell me, every single person fired last month was let go by Susquehanna before Cumulus ever took over. Not one of the people fired were ever actual Cumulus employees...

It's called... make the previous owner do the dirty work if they want the money for the stations. Just another underhanded Cume-less move.

#1 All of the May4th/5th firings were directed by the DICKies#2 Susquehanna execs wanted to do it BEFORE Cumulus took over so displaced employees would get generous severence and health benefits. If they waited those fired would have received 2 weeks severence from the DICKies if that.#3 No one who was vested had to stay to get their ESOP $$ #4 Many of those that were let go consoled those that had to stay with the words, "We are the lucky ones" #5 Wall Street will eventually notice that several people the DICKies threw away are being snapped up for high level positions at other broadcast comapnies, Dan Halyburton as Emmis New York Market Manager for one, but there are several others. #6 Susquehanna's philosophy was to bring all of their markets up to top 10 market standards. Cumulus' seems to be to drop all of heir market standards to those in Billings Montana.

Bravo to you! Truer words were never written on this board! ;D Cumu-less is evil incarnate!

I was one of the lucky ones let go in Atlanta! ;D
It definitely is better to not work for Cumu-less. It's a shame that the DICK-ies are screwing up people's lives and making a profit from it.
