HELP BRING BACK SMOOTH JAZZ WJJZ BACK

First off, we never dissed SJ by calling it "Baby Boomer Eazy Listening". I personally brought that up since that is an industry comparison for layfolk. And also, it was used to illustrate a point that a shelf life of a typical format in this day and age ON AVERAGE is about 10 years. Connect the two ends, negate the gap in between 106.1 and 97.5, and that's a 15 year run. Quite impressive.

I, for one, was excited that Greater Media had stepped into the fold in the first place. BUT! At some point you do have to try and make money on your investment. Apparantly, they could not do that and decided to go in a different direction.

The sad thing, Juse, is your thought process. You go off thinking that anyone who doesn't share your passion thinks negatively of your music. That close-minded is much like the dance fans that we tee off on. "Damn what drives business models. My fave music needs to be on ALL radio stations, ESPECIALLY on stations I hate (which, I surmise in your case, would be rock... much like the dance fans, since they hate rock as well)".

You're certainly not going to get people on your side with a decisively biased view of the world. In fact, most will now be glad your format never returns. You did it, none on us!

umm wow first off what are you talking about? I don't have a closed point of view of the world. I never said i hate anything other than smooth jazz. I am a musician so i like all music except maybe goth lol. But my number 1 fav was smooth jazz. My only issue is that this thread was intended for the people who loved smooth jazz but instead again people who who hated it had to give there input which was not requested. There was no question asked.

I didn't say or do i think that anybody who doesn't share my passion thinks negatively about my music. However people who don't like it have said a lot of insulting things to me. Like get over it its over blah blah. I would never tell anybody that. If they have passion then good for them. If your rock stations disappeared i would not say any of the things you people have said to me. "decisively biased view of the world" Cmon man. Im not hear to get anyone on my side. I just thought there would be people on this forum who actually wanted to see it back. Thats all. You guys are the ones goin off on me and insulting me lol.

Juse, I like smooth jazz. I support you in liking smooth jazz. And furthermore, I believe you're wasting your time.

Sigh......

Im not wasting anymore time than you are. Like i said before it not about business. They would have done just fine if they left it alone. If smooth jazz is a niche then rnb must be as well because they are really similar. And smooth jazz should be back because there is no real way to tell by some survey. If they dont then i will put back on the airwaves myself. Anyone wanna help get the funds together? lol
