This all started when I was shipped a MOV file to view and use as a template for an infomercial revoicing project (I know I should have just used Pro Tools..) that I opened in AA3 by opening a new session in multitrack and choosing INSERT> VIDEO.
The dam file was called ProSeal.23.wmv (It had a "point" before the 23..then another "point" before the wmv)
Now for some reason when I am in edit mode..even doing another session AA3 will save any file that I want saved as an mp3 as .23
I have tried recording a test file and saving it as test.mp3 and hitting save..but then it saves it as test.mp3.23
JEESH..how do I get rid of this .23 extension? It renders the file useless to anyone that gets it (obviously) and in doing quick stuff like TV news promos I have to be very sure I go back into the drive and RENAME the file from .23 to .mp3 manually!
And now in the window that has all of the file types it lists the cryptic .23 alongside .mp3
MP3Pro (.23,mp3)
WHOEVER named that file in NYC ought to be sent to thier room with the cat.
