I haven't always agreed with Todd Feinburg, but I hope the guy gets some due
credit for holding down the fort at WRKO while Howie Carr and Entercom go through their legal battles.
Having grown tired of Jay Severin's shtick, and having little success hearing Sean
Hannity's program due to WTTT's weak signal, Feinburg has basically become
the sole choice for afternoon drive--and while he isn't Carr, he's doing the best
job possible of putting on an entertaining program.
No matter what happens in the Carr lawsuit (although I think it's crystal-clear
that Carr outsmarted himself back in July and thus will have to return to 'RKO),
I hope Entercom finds some way to reward Feinburg for all of his hard work.
He's WRKO's most valuable player at this point, and deserves to have a permanent,
prominent position at the station. Once Howie comes back, why not push Michael
Savage's program back a few hours and put Feinburg back into the post-Howie slot?
Isn't it pathetic that Dan Rea's program is the only live and local talk offering for evening listeners?
Feinburg has gone several extra miles for 'RKO this year--filling in for Finneran on numerous occasions during the summer, co-hosting Finneran's show multiple times, and now substituting for Howie. The guy should be a part of 'RKO's future for years to come.
