Some might want to check this link out as well. http://www.kahm.info/

Very nice, but how 'bout a higher bitrate stream.

Try KLUX (klux.org); their stream is 64K. Another one I started listening to is "Smooth and Easy" (128K), it's completely instrumental (no vocals) with some smooth jazz thrown in here and there. it's at hometownradio.us.

Cyberdad, are you a member of either of the beautiful instrumentals Yahoo groups?

The original group is beaufiful instrumentals and vocals, but the focus is still on instrumentals. The other group isn't any fun because there are too many rules.

Nope. I don't listen to beautiful music all that much. Just as an occasional change of pace. I'm more of an "ugly" guy. ;D

New BM online

www.radioelmundo.com.sv ---from El Salvador, another beautiful music station to add to our list! Click on its "Escuchanos el Linea"---

cd

***Update---they are NOT 24 hours. Just heard their signoff, 0600 UTC***

Thanks to you all for the various links. I'm trying them out. Listening WKTZ right now.

Lest I forget, there is another Central American station similar to Radio El Mundo, in Guatemala:

www.fabuestereo.com

They have operating hours simiar to El Mundo's. Also, although they are primarily instrumental, they have special shows that have featured vocalists.

El Mundo has the better stream of the Central Americans. Classical music right now...8:20 CST.

I also forgot this one----

www.raicesradio.org.do (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic)----there's even a blurb on the home page about HD Radio!

Click on "la radio en linea"

I still haven't heard the Brasilia thing...gotta remember.

There's a bit of clutter in the daytime....including a portugese-speaking announcer jumping in with titles between every song. That gets tedious. But at night, things flow rather nicely.
