Hey can anyone else smell that?????????

The Human Fund. Awesome.Seinfeld = The greatest show ever.Stripper agreeing with me, hmmm. We don't have to hug now do we? Cause that ain't happening. I'd be too scared to...been there done that, got the bloody t-shirt.Anyone else like fishsticks?Just to revisit a point I made earlier. I love those guys. I wish I had a dollar for every time I thought I was making great radio and then realized maybe I didn't look at it from every angle. Good kids trying to do good radio. And being successful at it in my opinion regardless of what I may think about one isolated incident.Angle's are important, especially if you are building houses.

Gotta admit, that was my first thought......Why put another radio station on air on your radio show...(granted they probably didn't mention any call letters, or whatnot)Radio has to be fun, and if it's not, then people will tune you out. But with that being said.....No matter what frame of mind you are coming from, pranking, bashing, etc etc etc other stations seems pretty bush league. Could it be that the Radio People were weighing that heavy on their minds, and the minds of those who worked there previously, that they felt they needed to get out some long simmering anger? It's possible. But I am neither here nor there, only watching it all from afar.....(Who am I?) ???

Bad Radio No I don't feel that way but I can see where Brett is coming from because I have held that PD gig before. Its not easy trying to keep the higher ups happy while doing good radio. With that being said I think the prank was great,We are doing something big at KMX. We all know KMX has not been in the game for years now. They had an old lazy liner staff and now KMX is alive and fighting again.I am so proud of my KMX team no change that my KMX family. We can debate about the prank all dayBut we can all agree KMX is back in the game. Look out every station thats us knocking at your doorThe Shady Nation

I for one am proud to be a card carrying citizen of the Shady Nation.Posts under his name, dresses like a movie star and does an entertaining show. Now if he likes fishsticks we can be tight like twins or something.Yo Shady, where do I get one of those hats you wear?

Is KMX competing with DJR? ESP?, The Beat? I don't get it......what was the objectiveof the bit? What did it achieve? If there were a CHR in the building, it might haveconnected better with the listener. I think the listeners might have been a bit confusedon this one. The buzz seems inside only.

I'm trying. I really am.Don't take anything I say seriously. I am a guy who does a weekend airshift for fun, thendonates the paycheck to charity. I don't know anything about radio. What's your favorite charity? I'll give my next check to it in your nameFirst one to answer gets it.In the name of zzzz1972 or preem Palvor or stupidginny? What will it beI feel the love and understanding in here, I really do. Nothing better than meeting peoplewho will shoot you straight, tell you who they are, have no ego's....you know, good ole downto earth people like the ones that post here. It's a Hallmark moment really.
Hey Brett...send it to me. I am trying to build a radio station with NO money.Never mind....I'm used to it :)Anonymous post. My real name is Michael

Brett:I will give you the name of my taylor lol as for the hats I can't tell ya that . you might get mistaken for me lol.Mike Holderfield : building a radio station with no money hmm where have I heard that before O yeah eight years ago the day I walked in to Clear Channel :)Someone asked what the point of the stunt was. It was to make people talk.People are not dumb they know there are other radio stations out there other than KMX. When people talk about you they are listening to you. Just look at your Hip hop station you guys have a 6000 watt stick and you are hangin in there with a 100,000 watter. which by the way T Subway on you next time :)

There was a big stink at the RP in Meridian, MS this week. Maybe the stink bomb was strong enough to cross over state lines. Yes, I'm on my way back to MS postings.....thanks for the chuckle Dothan.

Yes, the prank was juvenile.Yes, it was bad radio... these kinds of things are just another example of the lack of true creativity and the mindset of a large number of radio types. They're the kinds of things we did when I was 12 and toilet-papered the football coach's house and yard. But here's my angle on it: I'm no fan of The Radio People as a whole. I worked with some very talented people in the short time I was in Jackson at WJKK. The management, however, leave a lot to be desired. At that time I even worked with Jerry Broadway who was at WUSJ at the time, and who is a target of much criticism on this board. I found him to be a very creative individual with a great deal of passion for his craft. Whether that's changed in 6 years, I don't know. I haven't spoken to Jerry since I left Jackson (I was canned after four months when Eddie Holladay decided he could put his AC on the satellite and get a 10 share... um, right... never happened... by the way, shouldn't I have gotten some kind of longevity award for lasting 120 days there?).At any rate, even though it's a juvenile stunt and serves no purpose to benefit 'KMX's ratings, the fact that The Radio People were the recipients of this "big stink" is just plain FUNNY AS HELL!TDO
