Just read where Gig Hilton won his battle in Rowan County to build a tall tower. Think this happened in the last couple of weeks. Might this change the EMF LMA and finally the sale of 94.1 to EMF or was that a done deal and the tower part of the price tag?
 
EMF should purchase the station. That K-Love format is real ratings booster, with a big 0.0 share of the audience. A 100Kw FM and no-one is listening, and with a taller tower it means they’ll have greater signal coverage where no one is listening. What a joke.

???They're getting numbers. Maybe you're seeing a different site than I am.

Though even on my site, the legenday WRNS has no listeners.

It was speculated that the new tower would lead to the return of oldies.

Would Positive, Encouraging K-Love be able to achieve that kind of ratings in Charlotte? If not, they might want to rethink moving to the "Hilton Tower" since the result would be a loss of signal in some parts of the Triad and lower ratings there.

Of course they are, otherwise why would they subscribe to the very expensive Nielsen ratings. The part about the "horses mouth" I would agree with.....LOL
 
Another local transmitter for a religious station? We already have New Life 91.9, Joy-fm and Lite 106.9. Please revisit Majic... This town needs variety..
 
All news is biased.
And everything a radio station/network does (news, music, weather, sports, commercial stopsets) is designed to appeal to some group of listeners' biases. ;)

Keep in mind, you don't have to subscribe to ?nielsen? (Arbitron) to be rated, just to use the numbers for sales.
I would think K-love money comes from 'love donations'.

... that and 'John the Baptist Steak Knives'.

As for the numbers... I would be worried if I was a cc or entercom sales person.

and remember k-love has a statewide presence (with full power and translator signals)

Seriously, what the heck? All of those stations have significant overlap. I guess if you put yourself at enough places on the dial, people will stop listen.
